My Clay Art Journey – Bill Sanchez

My clay art journey began about 60 years ago when my mom, an amazing artist herself, guided my little hands and showed me how to form dough into faces that we baked in the oven and painted – I think we made Santa Claus faces during the Holidays.

Although she has passed, my mom continues to guide me in this hand-made pursuit that continues to be as exciting and gratifying today as it was back then. Like all other artists that make things with our hands, it is so rewarding to transform something like clay into something beautiful to use and look at.
