2014 Estate Reserve Pinot Noir

$ 45.00

Our Estate Reserve is from select barrels of low yielding fruit harvested at peak ripeness using old world winemaking practices that include gentle handling, gravity transfer, and lees aging in new French Oak. The result is a Classic Oregon Pinot Noir with black cherry notes and flavors of white pepper wrapped in firm tannins and a long silky finish.

Pinot File Review:

2014 Vino Vasai Estate Reserve Chehalem Mountains Oregon Pinot Noir

13.2% alc., $45. A barrel selection. · Moderately light reddish purple color in the glass. More fruit concentration and supporting tannins than the Dario Estate bottling deserving of a Reserve designation. Deep black cherry flavor of Pommard has a earthy mushroom note also typical of Pommard. Very classy and seductive on the palate, with enough tannin for age ability. Still solid the following day when tasted from a previously opened and re-corked bottle. No need to be in a hurry to drink this beauty. Score: 92Reviewed December 13, 2016. Read more...
