Barrel 17 represents those special barrels that make you sing every time you taste them. The bottling of Barrel 17 plus some of the other select barrels from this vintage is our attempt to share that experience with you. It comes from low yielding fruit harvested at peak ripeness using old world winemaking practices that include gentle handling, gravity transfer, and lees aging in neutral French Oak. The result is a Classic Oregon Pinot Noir with black cherry notes, earthy flavors of smoke and white pepper wrapped in firm tannins and a long silky finish.

Attractive ripeness and freshness here, already offering a lot, with ripe red cherries framed in fresh leaves, herbs and stony-mineral accents. The palate shows impressive clarity and freshness and a really long, brightly expressive finish. Drink or hold.
