2009 Vintage notes: A lush vintage with elegance, a nice balance of fruit, acid, tannin and alcohol. The Jacob Pinot Noir is estate grown fruit from the East Block of our vineyard, where the sun’s early ray’s play a role in ripening and flavors. The clones planted are Dijon 777, 115, and 114 on rootstock 101-14. Generally bigger in style with toasty robust dark fruit components. Barrel aged on the lees in 50% new French oak.
